Description   What is the CUB? The CUB is a modern innovation of the traditional birth stool and the widely used birth ball. Its innovative design supports all of the advantages of an active labor and an upright position for birth. Lightweight, adaptable, comfortable and easy to clean, it needs no special equipment and can be used in any environment. The CUB is a simple, easy to use invention that can help to decrease common obstetric complications, reducing emergency intervention and caesarean section rates. Includes the Terry Cloth Cover. Where can the CUB support be used? The CUB can be used in hospitals, at homebirths or in a birth center. Lightweight and portable the CUB can be moved to wherever it is needed quickly and easily. The CUB is a comfortable, versatile, inflatable support designed to help mothers adopt and maintain positions that are physically the most helpful for her and her baby during labor and birth. When the mother is in an upright position it can help the baby to be in the best (easiest) position for birth, making more space within her pelvis than if she is semi sitting or lying on her back on a bed. Current research has shown that this can make labor shorter and giving birth easier as well as increase safety for the mother her baby by reducing the risks of complications during birth. The CUB can be used throughout labor as a comfortable support, either to sit on, rest on or lean over as well as to give birth to the baby on; suitable for use in maternity hospitals, birth centers or at homebirths. CUB Support The CUB can be used as a comfortable support throughout labour AND during the birth of the baby. It’s innovative and versatile design means that it can be comfortably used to lean over-supporting an ‘all fours’ position, lean against in a kneeling position, relax and rest against when necessary or indeed to sit on.
