Jodilyn Owen is a midwife in Seattle, WA specializing in newborn assessment. She is a long time doula and childbirth and parenting educator. Jodilyn has had articles published in Midwifery Today and by Dr. Christiane Northrup. She was a speaker at the Trust Birth Conferences of 2008 and 2010. Along with co-author Jane Drichta, Jodilyn has written the book The Essential Homebirth Guide, due to be published in 2012 (Simon and Schuster).  Jodilyn is a wife and mother and enjoys boxing, hiking, and reading.  She can be found online at essentialmidwifery.com.
