Shipping and Returns
When will my order arrive if I choose Fedex Overnight or Fedex 2Day shipping?
 
Please check shipping address when you receive your invoice to verify that it is correct.

Regarding FEDEX EXPRESS shipments of NON-REFRIGERATED ITEMS
(Standard or Priority Overnight, 2Day): Please note that Fedex Overnight and Fedex 2Day only deliver Monday-Friday as they were created to cater to business needs. For Saturday delivery, it is an extra fee and you must request it. This fee can run from $10-$100 extra depending on the area. If you wish to have Saturday delivery, please call us Friday morning to arrange for payment for the extra fees for your package. If you chose an Express service (2Day, Overnight) on Friday before the cutoff of 12PM EST, and it is not a refrigerated item, then it will ship for you on Friday as long as the order comes in before cutoff. If you want to see if the order can ship on Friday and it came in after the cutoff, please call us at 877-423-7796 or email to see if that can be accommodated. Saturday and Sunday do not count as days in the day count for delivery; i.e. Fedex 2day chosen and shipped on Friday will not arrive Sunday, it will arrive Tuesday as the packages do not move over the weekend.

If you have chosen an FEDEX OVERNIGHT method for delivery of a REFRIGERATED item, please note our official cutoff for packages is 12pm EST. Sometimes packages go out after that time, but there is no guarantee. If you have a concern about it getting out the day you wish, we urge you to call us and let us know (877-423-7796). If we are able to accommodate a request for late day shipment, we will! Remember that Fedex Express methods (Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight, Fedex 2 Day) all ship and deliver Monday-Friday. If you want Saturday delivery, that must be requested and is an extra fee. This fee can run from $10-$100 extra depending on the area. If you wish to have Saturday delivery, please call us Friday morning to arrange for payment for the extra fees for your package. Not all areas allow for Saturday delviery, if it is available, we will let you know.
Fedex 2 Day shipments sent on Thursday WILL ARRIVE ON MONDAY unless Saturday service is BOTH available and pre-arranged by the customer. Fedex 2Day orders sent on Friday will arrive Tuesday.
If you need something to arrive by a certain day, CALL US and tell us! We will give you the best solution for your situation. Do not assume that something will go the way you want it to, things usually don't work that way and we want you to get what you need when you need it!

When will my order arrive?
  Items ship from Raleigh, NC Monday through Friday.

COVID UPDATE:

USPS Priority Mail generally ships in 1-7 days depending on how far away from us you are. USPS Priority Mail does not offer a guarantee of time of arrival. Usually the packages arrive within 3 days on the west coast, but again, this is no guarantee. Packages may arrive up to 7 days later as a hub experiences a delay due to weather, reduced staff or other issues.

This is the same for Fedex Ground and Home Delivery packages. They Fedex is usually more reliable, but only the Express Services are guaranteed to arrive at a certain time. At this time, Fedex is not offering refunds for packages not delivered on time, regardless of service chosen. Express packages are not delivered over the weekend unless you have specifically called and arranged for us to deliver on Saturday. Saturday service is an extra fee and we have to have your permission to charge the extra amount for shipping.

Orders placed after the 12pm EST cut off may not ship until the following Monday. We always do our best to get things out as quickly as possible, but we have no pickups over the weekend and so packages do not move then.

Red (NC): 1 - 3 days
Blue: 2 - 5 days
Orange: 3 - 6 days
Green: 4 - 7 days
Pink: 5 - 10 days

How much is my shipping?
  Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices. Shipping is calculated based on weight and the distance, we don't have a flat ship rate.

Sometimes shipping calculations are incorrect and we may refund overage paid after the fact.
How do I return my product?
  TO RETURN A PRODUCT, YOU MUST CALL OR EMAIL FOR an RMA number first.

If we receive back an order, entire or partial, without customer first asking for and receiving an RMA number, there will be a restock fee charged of 10%.

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If you find any mistake in your order, please notify us immediately. NO REPLACEMENTS FROM DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER 72 HOURS OF RECEIPT.

We do not accept returns on any item after 30 days. To return an item within the 30 day period, you must first call to get an RMA number for your item or items that you wish to return. That RMA number must be on the outside of the package or there could be considerable delays in refunding any monies due to you.

UNCLAIMED PACKAGES shipped back to us within the 30 day window will be refunded the cost of only the qualifying returned items. If an Unclaimed package is returned back to us AFTER the 30 day window, no refund will be made for shipping or products as we do not accept returns after that time period. If you realize you no longer wish to receive your package, do not refuse delivery. NOTIFY us, not simply leave it to be shipped back. Refusal of packages with USPS now incur return shipping expenses (usually much higher than the standard rate), that will be deducted from your return. If you wish to return a package, we can provide a label to be deducted from the return, which will be much cheaper than what you would pay at the post office or Fedex.

All returns must be accompanied with a copy of the invoice and shipping costs are not refunded. Once we receive the return and inspect it, we will then issue the refund by whatever payment method you initially used.

Items that are non-refundable and non-returnable:
Birth Kits (unless unopened within the 30 day window)
Pharmaceuticals
ANY Sterile Item
Books and Publications
Herbal formulas or anything that is taken internally
*Birth Pool Liners that have been opened
*Birth Pools of any type that have been opened

*Some exceptions, see below

We accept returns within 30 days on all non-sterile, unused products that are in the original packaging. We do not accept returns on birth kits, sterile products and products that do not come in their own sealed packaging. The reason for this is that once something has entered into someone's home, I can no longer guarantee that it is in a sterile or clean, usable condition. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but my concern is to the next customer and the safety of her birth and baby. (One suggestion: Most midwives would be happy to purchase back a birth kit from you to be sold to their next client.)

We do not accept returns on herbal products for the safety of our clientele even if the bottle has not been opened.

We also do not accept returns on birth pool liners unless they are still in their packaging and have no holes or tears in them.

Birth pools of any type need to be blown up within the first 3-5 days to make sure there are no problems. Pools may not be returned for a refund once they have been removed from the box. If the box is still sealed and was not opened, we can accept the return although the pool will be inspected upon its return to determine if it was placed back in the box after use. If it was, no refund will be given and the pool can then be returned back to you at your cost. If you blow up your pool upon arrival and find it to leak or be defective in some other way, please let us know immediately. Pools will not be refunded because of defective issues extending past 14 days of shipping.

When will my order ship?
  Orders are usually sent within 24-48 hours after placing an order. If an item is out of stock, that may hold up your order. If you have a concern or need something quickly, call us at 877-423-7796 or email back from your invoice email and ask. Please see each individual item page for more information on the availability of each item. Also, after placing your order, you may click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track the status of your order. You will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped and tracking information usually within 24-48 hours of shipment. Some orders are able to ship the same day as they were ordered. Please know we are working as fast as we can most days and trying to keep up with the onslaught of packages!
