For the price, it is fantastic. You just need to learn how to use it properly. I have found that trying to shake down the thermometer after use can be difficult, so here's a pro tip I got. Put it in a sock, tip down, and swing it in a circle for several seconds. The centrifugal force will help it "reset". This method has worked for me everytime, and now I love this little thing! -Customer

The instructions say it has to be stored upright. If it is stored lying down for more than a day the liquid will 'freeze' in place and not move or become fragmented, rendering the thermometer useless. -Customer
